Frequently Asked Questions

The patient portal is the best way.  All communication via the patient portal is already added to your chart.  Secondly, we respond to these messages first.  Lastly, you will not have to worry if we received the message.  If you can see the message in your patient portal, then we have it.  Please allow 2-3 business days when communicating with your provider. 


Yes!  You can access your visit from any smart phone, tablet, or laptop.  Please make sure you have a good internet connection or your appointment my have to be via phone.


We are In-Network with the following insurance carriers:

Cigna

Aetna

United Health Care (not all plans, currently adding more plans from UHC)

Tricare Select and all other Non-Prime Tricare plans

Medicare Direct

*Tricare Prime *only if active referral in place prior to visit 

Medcost

Frist Carolina Care

Blue Cross Blue Shield


Out-of-Network Updates:

We will not be in Network with Medicaid at anytime.


Costs for In-Network Insurance Covered Visits

Copay or Co-Insurance

        ****if you know you have a deductible and know you have not met your deductible you can pay at the time of service if you do not want to be billed****


Cost for Out-of-Network Insurance Covered Visits

If you do not have Out-of-Network benefit coverage you will pay $149 for your follow-up visit, or $175 for new patient visit.  We will fill you visit to insurance for you.


If you have Out-of-Network benefit coverage you will pay based on your plans benefits


We will be billing insurance for patient with an out-of-network benefit.  Your account will be updated according to your Explanation of Benefits that you will receive from your insurance carrier.

Once we have received the Explanation of Benefits from your insurance company your account will be adjusted according to your plan benefits.


Tricare Prime without Referral

You will pay for your visits at time of services without military discount because we are submitting to your insurance.


We WILL submit to insurance, once your Out-of-Network deductible has been met, your cost is typically 50% of visit charges for covered services.

This deductible reset every calendar year.  


Patients who have insurance but do NOT want to use their insurance

Fees are the same, you will pay at time of services.  Please make use the front desk knows you do not want to use your insurance for your visits and they will code your account accordingly.


Patients without insurance

You will pay the self pay prices.  


Hormone Pellet Insertion Appointments

This is not an insurance covered service and fees will remain the same, and we will not be sending to your insurance carrier.  


Female Pellet Procedure $375 

Male Pellet Procedure $700


IV Therapy is a covered benefit of insurance as long as deemed medically necessary.  Our staff will be working on obtaining an insurance prior authorization prior to being scheduled.



Some tests are covered by insurance, other specialty test or test deemed not medically necessary are not covered by insurance.  We will alway discuss with you the cost of the testing being ordered.   It is impossible for us to give you an exact cost or tell you with 100% accuracy if the test will be covered by your insurance.


Yes, If you have a health spending card you can use it at the time of service.  If you need a superbill to submit to your health spending account for your reimbursement it will be available for you at the time of service.


Absolutely, Our providers are certified Family Nurse Practitioners and uses prescription medications along with supplements and lifestyle recommendations.


No, we will make appropriate recommendations of vitamin supplementation at the right dosing and maximum benefit from manufactures that we know, like, and trust with your health as well as our own health.  However, you can purchase supplements from other sources, just know that the results may not be the same.


YES!  Pellet therapy is one of our preferred ways of replacing your hormones to provide consistent, longterm, steady delivery of your hormones.


YES!  For both our male and female patients we offer a variety of options to include, creams, injectables, patches, nasal, and oral options.
